Prague Viburnum

Plant in spring or fall in moist, well-drained soil in partial shade to full sun, spacing 8–10 feet apart. Prague viburnum is a vigorous, semi-evergreen shrub with large, glossy leaves and fragrant white flowers in spring. It adapts to a range of conditions and is relatively fast-growing. Dig a generous planting hole, amend with compost, and water well. Mulch to retain moisture.

Prune after flowering if shaping is needed. Keep soil consistently moist. Prague viburnum is notably adaptable and can tolerate partial shade better than many viburnums. Fertilize in spring. The large, glossy foliage provides good year-round structure in mild climates. The fragrant spring flowers are attractive and the dark berries in fall provide wildlife food. A vigorous, versatile viburnum for mixed borders, screening, and foundation plantings.
