Planting Tips

Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought. Prune by removing one-third of the oldest canes at the base immediately after the main spring flowering flush. Fertilize lightly in early spring. Largely pest-free. The glossy, deeply colored dark foliage is an outstanding ornamental feature all season long, and the rich pink tubular flowers in spring are highly attractive to hummingbirds. One of the most refined weigela selections available for foliage quality.
