Plant Spilled Wine® Weigela in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Space plants 3-4 feet apart. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Once established, water as needed, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced fertilizer. Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Protect from harsh winter winds.
