Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought. Prune by removing one-third of the oldest canes at the base immediately after the main spring flowering flush. Fertilize lightly in early spring. Largely pest-free. The vivid, electric pink flowers combined with the dark foliage create an exceptionally bold, high-contrast display in spring.
